RFID Tags for clothes
If you own the cloth brand, want to select an RFID inventory management tag. From monitoring manufacturer process to warehouse management, logistics, and retails. There is no doubt, the volume is large. You must take the cost into consideration. Also, the tag no needs very durable. We suggest UHF RFID label or sticker is workable.
Here give you some reason:
1, Low cost for large volume application.
2, Can stick on your original clothing tags or make it into paper RFID label.
3, UHF label can be tracking in bulk, save time. Easy for warehouse management and tracking.
4, Anti-fake, encryption is allowed.
5, If you want to make it interact with the end user, the dural frequency also workable. UHF for management & tracking, NFC for interaction with the end user by NFC mobile phone.
6, Pick the exact size and color your customer wanted out at once from a butch of clothes.
However, some brands just for a souvenir, such as Nike’s Jersey. Only NFC enable the chip for connecting with fans. They should be a washable tag, durable, and water-proof, even high-temperature resistance.
There is no doubt that the RFID label & sticker will not suitable anymore. At this time, we recommend silicone washable tag and pps water-proof tag.
Sewing inside the cloth, heat resistance of 120°, 130 times can be washed. Fans can get their NFC mobile phone close to the laundry tag, get the news immediately.
RFID inventory management
It’s mind-blowing to find items in a big warehouse or inventory management, especially in an urgent time.
Such as a customer said to your shopper, I like this cloth, do you have a bigger size?
The shopper confused, hmmm, I have to check it first, please wait for a moment.
In front of so many clothes, which one is the right? This is middle size, oh, that is a bigger size. Pick one out, oh, who mixed middle one in this bulk. 10 minutes past, 20 minutes past…
Finally, you got the one, but your customer has gone.
What a pity! What’s more, you even do not know how many potential clients missed during the 20 minutes. Also, a bad experience may from mouth to mouth, more potential clients may be lost.
For such single item tracking in the warehouse, RFID sticker also the first recommend. However, the shouldn’t be any metal aside.
If need tracking a whole set of the shelf, anti-metal RFID tag needed. Something like ABS anti-metal tag, epoxy shelf tag. Metal-mount RFID tags even on the metal surface, still workable. But the reading distance will be shorter.
Metal-mount RFID tags usually used in bigger warehouse, the library for the bookshelf, pallet inventory management, etc.
On the other hand, some ink provider will also use such tags with magnetic for inventory management. It’s can be multi-times use.
Now, do you have any idea about how to select the RFID tags for inventory management?
Outdoor RFID Tags
Outdoor RFID tags should take many factors into consideration.
One of the first choices you need to make is whether to go with active or passive RFID tags.
The first thing is to determine how long the reading distance should be.
Active RFID tags use battery-powered that continuously broadcast their own signal. Active RFID systems typically operate in the ultra-high frequency (UHF) band and offer a range of up to 100 m. In general, active tags are used on large objects, such as rail cars, big reusable containers, and other assets that need to be tracked over long distances.
Passive RFID tags, typically, passive low-frequency (LF) and high-frequency (HF) tags have a read range of up to 3 feet, while a simple passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) transponder can be read from 15 to 20 feet in free air.
However, with different size and material, the reading distance would be much different. What’s more, the RFID reader also plays a role.
Environmental Concerns
The environment plays a huge role in the type of RFID tags required, especially outdoors. We will show you an example.
RFID Seal & RFID Cable
For ways of usage and location, both RFID tags should be similar. The only thing is environment resistance. One of our clients wants to apply an RFID tag for water meter management outside the door. It’s a cold place in winter and very hot in summer, at first time, they decided to use RFID Cable. However, after a short period of rainy and snowy days, RFID Cable is easily being destroyed by Naughty boys.
After we ask our clients the details requests, we suggest RFID Seal, finally, solved their problems.
It’s easy to see that, for one-time use or a short time, RFID Cable would be more competitive. However, if used in villainous weather or long time use, RFID Seal would be more suitable.
RFID Retail Solutions
Many retailers want to use RFID tags for management purposes, but the first thing to be clear about is what you want to achieve. There are usually three kinds.
1, Inventory Management
If you want every product to be tagged and tracked, make sure your product has a certain value. If the value is too low, then use RFID tags, and your customers may not be able to accept substantial price increases. Jewelry, for example, is suitable for using UHF RFID tags. But most grocery stores still use bar codes.
2, Anti-thief
If you just want to use it to prevent theft, the EAS is a good choice for a low price. Using on clothing or glasses, it can be reused.
3, Price change in Bulk
For large supermarkets, store chains of price management, I think ESL can help you greatly. No more printing thousands of paper labels with prices and products written on them. You don’t have to pull an all-nighter to change the price tag. Not to worry about too many misplacing price tags resulting in complaints.
More surprisingly, ESL can help you promote, help you guide customers to buy products, help you get more customers back.
When you have finished reading this article I think you have some idea of how to choose the right label for your project. Of course, more importantly, will not spend money to buy some do not use the RFID tags.
