Difference about RFID and Bar code

Nowadays, more and more field use RFID instead of bar code, Like hygiene, library, Car tracking.
Both RFID and Bar code are used for store information,but there are too much difference:
For the bar code, the scanner must direct to the bar code,however, the RFID just close the label or near it, is OK;
RFID label can support long distance,several meters or even more, the bar code could not longer than 5 meters;
RFID reader can read labels faster, hundreds at one times;
For the bar code must put the scanner to the right place and right distance,need several seconds;
On the other hand, the bar code can not be dirty, damaged, covered by others. RFID would be more durable, not influenced by the environment, also can be embody in any material any shape;
Bar code can not write data, only a serial number for your scan, for RFID you can write data according to your needs;
However, RFID would be more expensive than Bar code.
